In purposes of collecting feedbacks on early development stage we start regularly publish the latest package based on development branch of FreeSCADA 2. Please send us any thoughts you have. What you do like, what you dislike or other suggestions. Please send your comments to Developers Forum
The first version contains three basic modules: Designer, OPC connectivity plugin and Data Simulation plugin. You could try to create some schema using few basic drawing tools (rectangle, ellipse and text box). On OPC side there is an ability to connect to OPC servers, scan for a list of available channels and view theirs values on “Project variables” window. The same is true for Data Simulation plugin. Have a look.

We thought more on supporting and improving current version 1.x and come to conclusion that current architecture doesn't feet our needs. Therefore, there was a decision to completely redesign the project. It also allow us to get the most newest technologies. The new version is going to be .Net based (with Mono support in the future), have modern and flexible user interface, WPF based schemes and plug-ins architecture for communication level. Volunteers are welcome! :)

Version 0.7b of FreeSCADA has been arrived. The new version contains several bugfixes and new crash reporter module. We hope this will make the project even more stable. You can download it here.
