FreeSCADA 2.0.0.6 preview |

FreeSCADA version 2.0.0.6 (preview) got released. This is a bugfix
release with several new features:
- MODBUS communication plugin was significantly improved. Now
it offers serial MODBUS protocol support and allows writing data
back to the device. There were also several
improvements in TCP/IP protocol.
- Scripting support for Simulator plugin. It allows defining
"computable" channels which use Python interpreter to calculate its
value. See examples for more details.
- New common dialog to associate visual element property
with project variables. It provides the same look and feel for
different binding types.
- Few new examples: "Bouncing ball" and "Coffee machine".
- Several bug fixes for schema editing.
You can get it from SF download page.
If
you see
a bug, please tell us about it using our bug tracking system.
If you have earlier version of FS2, please uninstall it before
proceed with the new install.

this issue is solved in current SVN revision, so you can download the actual source code from SVN and compile it for yourself. Otherwise, you have to wait for a new preview version.

2009-03-0616:12:02 Hello Michael, after installing MSVisual C# the crashing problem was fixed. I think there was some dependency missing. Right now I have my PLC communicating with FS2. I will try to develop some simple but functional application just to use my PLC and I would like to know:
Is it possible to create an install package for that application? How can I use it?
What about remote connections it will be available?

2009-03-0520:27:05 Hello there, I'm a brazilian student and I would like to use this project in my graduation project, so I've downloaded the FS2 2.0.0.6 and I'm trying to create just a simple communication with a EVCO PLC using Modbus RTU protocol. Then, I started just as the "Tutorial 1. Text values" and I've set the Modbus properties instead the Simulator properties and I linked the textbox with the Modbus variable. Well, the problem is: In the runtime enviroment when I press "Run" the runtime crashes (it works when using simulator variable). I'm sure that the Modbus configuration is ok because it is communicating with a Modbus polling tool.
Could you help me please?
Here is the error msg: EventType: clr20r3 P1: runtime.exe P2:1.0.0.0 P3: 499698b1 P4: mscorlib P5: 2.0.0.0 P6: 471ebc5b P7 1295 P8:25 P9: system.missingmethodex ception.

1. We are sorry, but this functionality are on very early stage, and does not work propertly at this time. Pls, don't use it.
2. What are you mean on "User Security"? If you mean users and his rights - the answer - no. There is no such functionality at this moment in our project. As about event pls provide more detailed description of our issue.

1. Error of Expression. (in the Kent.Boogaart.Converters.ExpressionConve rter)
I made Ractangle. ->
I selected "Opacity" in the "Associate element with data". ->
Numeric expression binding -> Create association ->
I input a text( ) in th Expression box. ->
I selected variable_1, variable_2 in Channels box ->
and clicked Save button.
Error Content : Operator '||' cannot be applied to operands of type 'Unknown' and 'Unknown'.
Why occured this error? Please let me know.
2. Security, Event
Where can I set up User Security (read and write permission)
and Variable Event(0->1, 1->0, increase, decrease, max, min)?

Today I want to tell you additional Events.
I sincerely hope that The Button or Ractangle have a "Click, DoubleClick, MouseMove" Events.
For example When I click the Button, A Schema Page is changed. (or The Control Window open)
When I move The Mouse, A Some Object's Border Color to be on Mouse Pointer is changed.
In addition, How can I change Schema's name?
Please Let me know. Thanks!

2009-02-1708:54:56 It seems like you try to edit test.fs2 or some one from our test projects, these projects are our internal and there have ?ontent for testing, pls try to crate blank project and try againe.
